Ok, so, WTF! I thought there was this thing called global warming??? So, why the hell did we get 28" of snow????? UGH!!!! It was 60's on Wednesday and 50 on Thursday!!

Every little bit of snow had melted so we were gearing up for summer...we had been grilling outside for the last 3 days...and then they predict a little rain mixed with snow. Next thing ya know...we have over 2 feet of the stuff!

Well, I have reasons to not like Greenpeace at all. They get too fanatical for my taste. I agree with trying to keep the planet as clean as we can, I agree that we are taking for granted the earth's ability to clean itself; HOWEVER, the earth goes through cycles like anything else and there is nothing that us humans can do about that. We just have to live with it. It's the way of things.

The one's that REALLY piss me off though is PETA! UGH! Up here you see the PETA stickers EVERYWHERE...but, under the letters PETA is says this:

I dunno, I just think that there are more pressing things than cow farts and eating meat. There are much better ways to spend money on than the fanatical cults. Yeah, I said it...most of those "save the earth" groups are like cults. Drives me insane!!! I'm not going to hurt an animal that I don't intend to eat or wear or even both. I'm also not going to buy a Hummer H2 just because I want to create more pollution and look like an ass. But, there are some groups that just get ridiculous. For example, when I was at Vandenberg, the Greenpeace assholes would come and protest our launching of satellites. So I ask you, how did they advertise their protest?? Did they use a computer??? Or how about those members that were using a cell phone to call for more people to come and protest?? So what technology would they be using to advertise a protest?? Do you think that they would be able to use that technology IF WE DIDN'T LAUNCH THE SATELLITES?? UGH! Sometimes I scratch my head and go WTF???

But that's what I'm saying. The cycle the earth is in is beyond our ability to prevent, so, why worry about the things that we can't change? That's my point. It is a well known fact that the earth warms and cools on a regular basis, can we stop it? No, we can't. I do not believe that pollution is the cause of the weather changes. I'm not saying that it hasn't contributed to it on a small scale, but I don't think it is the whole reason for the climate changes. My belief is that the earth is going through one of it's many cycles as it has in the past and will do in the future. That's why I think we need to focus on more pressing matters than cow farts and eating meat.

and CH4 levels have jumped since we started burning
fossil fuels

...other factors may play in of course...but it's us

Actually, that is only 1 theory! There are many other theories out there. There is zero proof, hard evidence, that we have caused the earth's climate change. However, there is evidence that the earth has done this before on many occasions. That's from ice core samples in the Arctic. My point in case is that we just don't know why the climates really are changing. Do I agree that we should try to limit the amount of pollution we emit, absolutely, I just don't buy the fact that we have caused it. If that was so, then the ice ages of times past couldn't have occurred. We are heading where nature intends us to go. The earth hasn't completely warmed up from the last ice age. Our temperatures are only getting to what they are supposed to be. Then, lo and behold, the temps will plummet again right into another ice age, just as it's done many times before. Again, just my thoughts.

it's going to get hotter...

there's tons of evidence...in fact it's not even
a topic of debate anymore....among scientists
anyways ....it's not a y2k...which itself would have
been a disaster had not everyone prepared.

It is no comfort to be reminded that we go as nature

get rid itself of oranisms that dont live within IT'S limits.

Nature does this too, not just humans. The majority of the problem is the lack of enough data. By this I mean recorded history. The amount of recorded history in relation to the age of Earth (4.6 Billion Years) is minute. Even the ice core samples don't measure far enough back account for it all. Look at tectonic plates. In just a few short million years, LA will be a suburb of SF!
