You have it backwards Tom....Indie played Matisyahu first and KROQ started playing them after.....

Here's a post I made in here the first time I heard Matisyahu on Indie. Note the date and time.

Okay, so I don't know if this is old news or not, but have you guys heard this artist that Indie is playing called Matisyahu?! The song is called King Without A Crown. It's like a mix of reggae/ska/hip hop/house and it is so original and great, I loved it immediately. Well, I did some looking into it and it turns out that not only is this a reggae/hip hop artist but...he's a Hasidic Jew. Like hardcore Jewish, with the full on beard and top hat. He doesn't even perform on Friday, the Sabbath. It sounds all really odd, but it comes together really nicely. Here's a clip I found of his performance and interview on Jimmy Kimmel. Enjoy.

Note: The video takes a little while to load, depending on how fast your connection is. Plus, you need to have Quicktime installed.
