Jah Wobble talked about this when he was on Jonesys show recently. It is one of Steves favorite clips. If i get round to it i will post Wobbles description. It makes slightly more sense as to what happened.

They aint a goin' to the ceremony....or so is the rumor....

Not at ceremony but ...

They could still be at the concert.
It would probably kill Jonesy and Lydon if , say, Green Day or Sugar Ray members got up to do Sex PIstols songs :-)

Get up, no fannying about from Lydon. 3 songs hard and loud then walk off. Scare them !!

Here's the thing! I understand to a degree that they might want to shrug off the R&R Hall of Fame, however, The Sex Pistols are LEGENDARY regardless of wether they wanted it or not! I wouldn't be surprised if they didnt't show for the ceremony, but at the same time, Lydon DID go commercial with PiL for quite some time so what difference does it make. I mean, look at the videos they did. Honestly!!! Does anyone else understand what I mean??? Or is it just me???

ThenLydon should be spanked.

The 2006 inductees are:

Black Sabbath - cool
Blondie - cool
Miles Davis - sounds vaguely familiar?
Lynyrd Skynyrd - semi-cool
Sex Pistols - very cool
Herb Alpert & Jerry Mosso ???

I'll repeat what I have said before...it's great that the Pistols are being inducted (which they WILL be inducted whether they show or not)...but the Stooges STILL are not in.

Her's a great web page of the overlookeds:

"Were not going to the museum,
You can shove it, You can have it,
Were not going to the famous , the famous, famous
that blew out the candles on the last flame of the famous museum,

Were not going to roll over just yet, and take it up the .. behind,
You know what i am talking about.. Jimmy would be proud
coming to get you , roll over, let Johnny take over.

We don't want you, we're already famous without you telling us
that we are famous. Do you understand ?"
You're all idiots , you probably couldn't name one song on Never
Mind the Bollocks. You do understand dont you,Its not personal.

Idiots, Fools, Jacobites and mancheefrills"

Lyrics Steve Jones

That was called "Whipped Cream", later used on The Dating Game. No, wait, maybe that was a different one but they were both by Tijuana Brass.

Miles Davis was beyond cool, the birth of the cool. While known primarily for jazz, he pioneered the whole jazz/funk/rock fusion thing around 1969-75 with his albums "In A Silent Way" & "Bitches Brew" (which I remember as the ultimate "toke" album." Many of his band members from that time continued exploring jazz/rock fusion like Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, John Mclaughlin & Wayne Shorter/Joe Zawinul of Weather Report. In the 80's, Miles collaborated with such artists as Scritti Politti, Public Image LTD & Santana.
