Question for anyone who may have the answer. This morning Joe Escalante of the Vandals stated that when they were touring with Buzzcocks in Canada, the t-shirt guy got into some kind of trouble due to the shirts, which resulted in some sort of fine. He (Escalante) then went on to state that Buzzcocks insisted that the Vandals pay for the fine. This happened on Thanksgiving day. Not sure what year, but I'm assuming it was in the early 90's because that's when I saw them play together. Escalante then went on to say that they (the Vandals) got their revenge on Buzzcocks, but he said he'd elaborate some other time. Has anyone heard of this incident? Just want to set the record straight since he's broadcasting this, not only throught out Los Angeles, but also worldwide via the web.
Obviously the weasel can't let go of it....shocker...at this point I'm assuming he'll be mentioning it once a month...can we say therapy?I've heard this before from Joe but don't know
any details myself, and have never heard the story from Buzzcocks'
perspective. Something to do with merchandise and the US/Canadian border crossing...
It was a long time ago so I doubt anyone from Buzzcocks remembers,
unless Pete or Tony was involved...
I prefer the term "REAL Vandals" instead of "OLD Vandals".gidgetgoestohell wrote:Now the OLD Vandals were a great band to see....sloppy...all over the place...walking disasters and absofreakinlutely wonderful....
I like the last suggestion the best!!!Riff wrote:I prefer the term "REAL Vandals" instead of "OLD Vandals".gidgetgoestohell wrote:Now the OLD Vandals were a great band to see....sloppy...all over the place...walking disasters and absofreakinlutely wonderful....
This band playing now should be called "Falling Idols" or "Failing Idiots" or "Ruthless Fucktard Cocksuckers".
