I horsed around in college thru the 80's a decade later than m-m-m-my
generation should'a been.(If ever if ya listen to the song)I could not
relate to most of the music and it's fans(as they relate to that music)...
To me KROQ played totaly gay dance techno stuff...my friends were
listening to the death throws of metal(hair metal..poison..ratt...)
I stopped listening to radio for a long time(grew and smoked A LOT
of pot and listened to tapes)...god in my humble opinion(and with some glaring exceptions) THE 80's SUCKED!!!....(BURP!)then came Nirvana Soundgarden...radio was cool again....

My $.02.....what do I know?....Thanks for the link though Josie....I sure
I'll find some of those glaring exceptions in there! :D

I've always been at odds on this topic with people....Could it be that
music in the 80's was no longer the music of my teens...and that that
made me hyper-critical of new music during that period(80's).....NAW!!!
...fuck the self insight....That Music SUCKED!!!! :D

Pop music sucked...the good stuff was so underground here and the albums impossible to buy...you know how hard it was to get anything other than Wham and DuranDuran 'round here?eh?It was fuckin impossible and when you did get imports you were lucky.I liked the 80's for Dead Kennedys,Circle Jerks,Misfits,X,Killing Joke,PiL...etc.

The stuff that I was listening to in the 80's was the best...still listen to it.....of course.....you could only hear 80% of it on a cassette or album....but the other 20% could be found on two other stations at the time....KROQ or KNAC....mainly KNAC, by then.....but then the rat bastards had to go heavy metal....

DAMN! Bauhaus' cover of Ziggy Stardust.
In my opinion, the best cover EVER done.

But then again I liked just about anything Bauhaus has done.

I wasn't referring to a lot of it as great...but there are some good vids on there! Like there is some Dead Kennedy's, Black Flag, Christian Death, and a few other choice vids that I had never seen before! I had all those records, yes on vinyl, but I hadn't realized that there was some vids to go with them. Alien Sex Fiend brought back some memories though! LOL!

Hey Schloe...how old are you??? I was under the impression that you was a young whipper-snapper! Now, to my surprise, it seems that you are older than me!!!!!!!! LMAO..not that you can tell! LMFAO!!

Flashes of arc-light and hammer beats punctuate the night as we approach
shloemoe's laboratory......inside a strange and manic voice can be heard
saying,"Curses!...curses!...this time it must work!...my precious time machine!
...it will deliver me back in time!...away from this base and
sorted age!!!...I mustn't age beyond 43!...I must never grow up.....
NEVER!...."

once again we are at a safe distance, and with a brilliant flash we see
that shloemoe has attained his dream....dont stare directly at the fireball.

Image

Silly....aint it??? :D
What would give you the impression I was younger than you???

I dunno, just the way you reply or post, seems boyish to me. Don't get me wrong, I like it!

BTW...nice pic of of Climax XX-39, that was Operation Upshot/Knothole and was only a 61 KT (kiloton) device that was tested in Nevada on 4 Jun 53! Love Climax!

But I prefer pictures from the Able and Baker Shots myself!

while I lower the dome of silence.

Image
are you too young to recognize that?

...anyway...the boyish virtual demeaner is all a cover to hide my true ID
I am actually a mid level Mossad agent. My name is Rachel Rosenblum
and I've been sent to approach you on a matter global importance...
What we are asking is not for you to compromise your patrotism,
but to help insure the survival of our species......ok that ran out of gas...
(NSA disclaimer....just fooling around guys!)

tell us some AF stories sometime Josie.(only declassified stuff :D ) I remember once I actual saw one of the test launches from Vandenburg while walking to my car....knew what it was right away ,nobody else believed me till the scattered psychodelic con trail developed.
...yes from OC

Yeah my uncle worked for Gov on a lot of the above ground testing
in Nev.....I used to have some really cool ultra-violet/infra-red shots
posters actually...dunno what happend to em

ah the things I do with my idle time ....BOOM

LOL...well, that gives you a hint at what I do!

LMAO!

Yes, I know Get Smart! I loved that fucking show!

Ok, so, I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to my job. I have an uncle that participated in the underground tests. What can I say, runs in the family!

So have you figured out what exactly my job entails?? Hmmmm????

I will have to tell you the story of when I was in Kuwait! But it will have to wait until this launch either goes or is scrubbed!
And if you've never seen it with your own eyes, it just don't make sense!- Josie
