Yes, that is the Permanent Fund Divedend! You have to live here for one full calendar year and then you can apply for and receive the PFD. It was about 1104 this year and they expect it to increase next year. Its due to the damage caused from the oil drilling and such. It has nothing to do with the cost of living here; however, that is costly as well. Not as bad as Cali though!

Seclusion has it's advantages, but that is just crazy what they got in the Yukon.

small towns seem kinda nice to me...so long as the houses are
spaced a bit apart and the people are nice...here the houses
are 10 feet apart....too close....but not too close to go round

Its raining here..like 50 degrees...it sucks.I say my piece,yell or quiet,when people deserve it.You know since you brought it up...movie stars are so fucking fake and they're lives are so material and waste...paris hilton types...you know.They think they're better than everyone else blowing by in their Hummers with their entourage looking down their noses at working class as if they're shit.When Avril comes to town for free pizza and uses the back door cuz she thinks she's so important...she forgot to realize;nobody cares about her either...miss starlite,miss starlite;the lights have burned out your senses.

And I will say this much, small town life that I was referring to is like 2 hours to the closest neighbor in the Yukon! LMAO....Now here, it is different yet the same. Yes, we have a good size town and the little towns around are quite comfy and secluded, but the people are SOOOOOO helpful! They are so nice here. It's so different! It's been raining here almost daily and the temp has been as low as 35 and high as 52 degrees. A bit chilly, but that's okay. Off to Korea tomorrow so its all good. I will be heading right into winter straight up! LOL
