Don't know how I could do this blog for 1/2 year now without posting the Buzzcocks. This needs a change so here's my favourite record by them. It's not one of their studio albums (which are undiscussable very excellent too), but an early live recording, done at a show they played at the Roxy Club, London on April 2, 1977. This album features everything I love them for - with the drumming a bit too nervous, the guitars slightly out of tune (but in just the right amount to make the whole thing sound great) and over all Pete Shelleys boyish soprano it's definetely something very special. Not so perfectly well produced and with that poppy attitude of their later recordings this is a rough diamond and truly a great document of 77 UK Punk Rock, and one of the records I will always keep a special place in my heart for.
