NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A reputed white supremacist who spat on a wheelchair-confined black man, used racial slurs and pushed him into a light post pleaded guilty to committing a hate crime.
Ronald Lee Bray, 25, of Huntington Beach raised his arm in a Nazi salute after the July 7 attack here, Orange County prosecutors said.
Bray pleaded guilty Monday to two felony charges of committing a hate crime and making criminal threats. The second count carried a hate-crime enhancement.
Bray faces a maximum sentence of two years and eight months in prison.
