Oh my god! That was the biggest earthquake I've been in yet. (Except nothing fell off the walls, my personal gauge for big earthquakes.)

And Jack's Shack is still going strong! Way to go, Jack!

I'm at work. Shook up our building pretty well. Apparently it's built on rollers, so we felt it probably a bit more also. The first one I felt recently was on Sunday at 8:45 am-ish. I actually kind of liked it, it's nice to have a little excitement and we haven't had one in a while. Plus it wasn't severe so no one was injured. Now I'm starting to get a bit worried, though, seeing as this current one is the 3rd earthquake/tremor that I've felt in about 5 days. :? That's a hell of a lot and I've lived in So Cali my whole life.

The quake we just felt was a 5.3 two miles NE of Yucaipa (between San Bernardino and Palm Springs) 71 mile east of downtown LA. There was a 3.5 aftershock within 90 seconds and a second one of 2.5 two minutes after that and now four more after shocks. No damage reports yet.

I swear Glenn, I have heard that practically everyday of my life from L.A. people.... people just need to get used to it, and stop trying to "predict" THE BIG ONE (BUM BUM BUM!) 'cause I'm sick of it and the thing is no body know IF there will be a big one, or when, or even how to stop it, so lets all move on!

The biggest earthquake since 1900 recorded with modern equipment occurred on May 22, 1960, in Chile and measured 9.5 on the Richter scale.

More than 2,000 people were killed, 3,000 injured, and 2,000,000 left homeless. The temblor caused $550 million in damage, and the destruction didn't end there -- the earthquake also caused a tsunami that resulted in 61 deaths and $75 million damage in Hawaii; 138 deaths and $50 million damage in Japan; 32 deaths in the Philippines; and $500,000 in damage to the west coast of the United States.

The gods downgraded yesterdays earthquake to a 4.9 and it was 8 miles underground, thus little damage.

There was also one last night at 11:00 p.m. I heard that that one was a 6.6. I didn't feel it, though. Holden, Sid, Bullma, Zazu and I were all crashed out on the couch, snorin' away....

Heh, I was at the mall in the dish isle. It was pretty fun, overhanging lights were swaying and clanking and so were the dishes. A mom with 6 kids ran out of the Old Navy across the hall screaming too. Was tons of fun! :O)

O shit....read this. It's true.

Jesus predicted in the Olivet Discourse that a pronounced increase in the frequency and intensity of earthquakes would occur just prior to His return to the earth. Many of the same writers and teachers claim that the decade of the 1990s has experienced a pronounced increase in both the frequency and intensity of earthquakes as compared to the earlier decades of the twentieth century. This coincidence of Jesus' prophetic statement and recent seismic events is viewed by these writers and teachers as clear demonstration of the nearness of the return of Christ.
