Story by: Paul Haney
It seems folks like Bloc Party bassist Gordon Moakes are only content to churn out danceable pop nuggets for so long before they feel the need to get "experimental." Moody emo-rockers Yourcodenameis:milo are spearheading an as-yet-untitled side-project that aims to be "the British equivalent of Queens Of The Stone Age's 'Desert Sessions.'" Thus far, they've finished a track with Moakes, and future collaborations are said to include Tom Vek, Graham Coxon, and Martin Grech among others. Moakes also apparently wishes to rope Bjork and PJ Harvey into the project. Sound overwhelming? An album and live shows are under consideration for now, so one will have to wait to see what materializes. In other Milo news, the band is preparing a record for release later this year.
