Hm, you sure it was just road rage? There have been 6-7 freeway shootings in the last two months or so, believed to have been by the same person/people. Stay safe on your drive, Gidge!

Really? Wow...this one was the second to take place in Tustin. The first was a fatal. This morning, some chick was behind me, cursing, waving her hands around and generally acting like a wild woman. I said to myself...I said...Gidge/Trix/Kristee...if she makes one more gesture, you are calling 911....she drove up besides me and flipped the bird, so I called 911.

The operator didn't seem all that concerned, but I told her that given the current climate on the freeway, you couldn't be too safe. I would have really felt horrible if this woman ended up hurting anyone and I rather doubted that she would pull over willingly so I could KNOCK THE LIVING TAR out of her.

ooops, that slipped.....

I know it's so scary, there was one last week on the freeway exit just a few blocks from my house and that part of the freeway stayed empty for a few days... I guess people were really scared.

I can't say that I blame the people that aren't using the freeways. It is scary and I am not sure what we as citizens can DO about it.

I know, it's like an epidemic, where some people are getting away with it, so all these other maniacs think they can shoot anyone who pisses them off and get away with it too.

The LAPD was saying that this isn't abnormal, it's just that the press has glommed on to it...but I dunno....maybe that kind of stuff happens in LA, it hasn't been until this year that it's become common in OC.....scary stuff....~sigh~

yeah, it happens here... but randomly and more in actual LA city not it's sub-cities like the valley!

Yes, I remember one time I was driving behind some lady in an SUV who was seriously freaking out every time traffic came to a halt. Like every time she had to hit the brakes and stop, she would throw her hands in the air and start ranting to herself. I was actually quite entertained and looked forward to each time we'd have to stop just so I could watch her reaction from behind. I guess those were simpler times when people weren't doing drive-bys on the 405, though.
